⚡ In short
- Go to Settings → Where it shows.
- Devices: untick desktop, tablet or mobile to hide the bubble there.
- Countries: show the chat only in chosen countries, or hide it in some.
- Hide on some pages: one address part per line, like
/checkout.
Why limit where the chat shows
On some pages the bubble gets in the way: checkout steps, login pages, job applications or a page with its own contact form. You might also only serve customers in India, or only want chats from desktop visitors. Visibility rules handle all of this without touching your website code.
Devices
Under Devices, untick any device where the bubble should not show. For example, untick mobile if your team can’t handle many quick mobile chats.
Countries
Under Countries, choose to show the chat only in some countries or to hide it in some. Type a country name such as “India” to find it. Visitors whose location can’t be found always see the chat.
Hide on some pages
Under Hide on some pages, write one rule per line. Any part of a page address works:
| Rule | Hides the chat on |
|---|---|
| /checkout | yourstore.in/checkout and /checkout/payment |
| /account/login | your login page |
| /careers | every page under /careers |
Press Save. The change shows on your site within a minute.
Open the chat from your own button
Hidden by a rule, the chat still works through LiveChatBot.open(). Add a “Chat with us” button to a hidden page and open the chat only when the visitor asks. See the developer docs.
Show the chat inside a page
Instead of a bubble, you can place the chat inside a page, such as your Contact page. See “Chat inside a page” in the integrations guide.
