How to Connect Live Chat to Zapier, Google Sheets or Your CRM

⚡ In short

  • Webhooks send an event to a web address the moment something happens.
  • Events: conversation.started, lead.captured, ticket.created and ticket.solved.
  • Add your webhook under Integrations → Webhooks.
  • For more control, create an API key under Integrations → API keys and use the REST API.

What you can automate

  • Save every new lead to a Google Sheet.
  • Add leads to your CRM or email list.
  • Post a message in your team chat when a new ticket arrives.
  • Log solved tickets in a spreadsheet for your monthly report.

Connect with Zapier

  1. In Zapier, create a Zap and choose Webhooks by Zapier → Catch Hook as the trigger. Copy the address Zapier gives you.
  2. In LiveChatBot, open Integrations → Webhooks, paste it into Webhook URL and save.
  3. Leave your email in your own chat (or create a test ticket) so Zapier receives a sample.
  4. Add an action, for example Google Sheets → Create Spreadsheet Row, and map the fields such as email, phone and lead source.

Make and n8n work the same way with their own “custom webhook” triggers.

What a webhook looks like

Each event is a JSON message with the event name, the website and the details:

FieldExample
eventlead.captured
project.nameYour Store
data.visitor.emailmeera@example.com
data.visitor.lead_sourceFlow: Discount for new visitors

Tickets send data.ticket with the number, subject, status, priority and the customer’s name, email and phone.

Use the REST API

The API lets your own code or Zapier read chats, contacts and tickets, reply to chats, open tickets from your contact form and close them. Create a key under Integrations → API keys (account owners only), then follow the API docs.

Send chat events to Google Analytics

Under Integrations → Website analytics, switch on Send chat events to my analytics to record chat opens, messages and leads in Google Analytics or Tag Manager.

See every option on the integrations page.

FAQ

Do I need to code?

No. Webhooks with Zapier or Make need no code. The REST API is for developers.

Is there a native HubSpot or Salesforce app?

Not yet. Use Zapier or Make with webhooks to send leads to them.

What if my webhook address is down?

The event is tried once. Keep your automation tool’s address stable.
