Why language matters
In a country like India, a visitor may read your site in English but feel more comfortable asking a question in Hindi, Tamil or Hinglish. Abroad, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese-speaking customers expect the same. A chat that speaks their language feels personal.
Step 1: Translate the chat
In LiveChatBot open Settings → Language and choose the Chat language: the buttons and labels visitors see. Your own messages stay exactly as you write them.
Step 2: Greet in several languages
Under Greeting in other languages, write your welcome greeting for each language you use. Leave a language empty to show your main greeting. Ideas in how to write a welcome message.
Step 3: Follow each page’s language
If your website has pages in several languages, switch on Switch the chat to each page’s language. The chat reads each page’s language and switches its buttons and greeting to match.
Step 4: Teach the AI Agent
Add your most important answers in the languages your customers use, so the AI Agent can reply naturally. How to train it.
Step 5: Staff your team
Note which teammates speak which languages, and assign chats accordingly. Saved replies in each language help everyone.
Your team’s dashboard language
Each teammate can choose their own dashboard language and light or dark theme under Settings → My account: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Turkish and Arabic.
